Method
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- If the chicken breasts are very thick, pound them to an even 3/4-inch to 1-inch thickness.
- Rub chicken with oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 F if your model recommends preheating.
- Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 9 to 13 minutes for medium chicken breasts, flipping halfway through. Thicker pieces may need a few extra minutes.
- Check the thickest part with a food thermometer. Chicken should reach 165 F internal temperature.
- Rest chicken for 5 minutes before slicing or dicing.
- Portion into meal prep containers with rice, vegetables, potatoes, salad greens, or wraps.
